And the humming bird story told by Brian was so surreal. It gave me the chill. My eyes were watered.

Several days before the memorial, I was walking outside with some bags. And there was a hummingbird. It was white with black spots on it. I’ve never seen a hummingbird like this in my entire life. It flew over to me, right in my face. I set the bags down and put my hand out. It came and landed in my hand. It sat there for about 5 seconds and then flew off again. It didn’t register with me when it happened. But when I was sitting at the memorial and Don Scott said Doug always wanted to come back as a hummingbird, my heart just dropped. I started crying.

Doug is such a genuine kind person. I’m really inspired by the principles he lived by. The first 2 principles fit me like a glove. Surely I’ll keep it in my heart wherever I go.

Brian is the southern guy who self-claims to have the hands of Michelangelo by the way. Both Brian and Doug are from a reality show called “Work Out”.

The idea of giving a speech on dog has been in my mind for a while now. It started one day when I realize that dog doesn’t have any problem communicating among themselves, no matter which race(breed?), where from, whatsoever. Put a Pekingese and a German shepherd together, you’ll see them having a conversation right a way…unlike human.

Then there was this book by George Orwell, “Animal Farm”. All I got from that book was the image of those animal chanting “Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad”. Hilarious!

One day I suddenly realize that Phoenix is actually the most persuasive speaker in the world. He use all the tools (that was introduced and explained in Toastmaster book) to get what he wanted, without fail…ever.

I thought that was cute and wanted to develop a speech about it. If I could write the whole thing down, polish it, and rehearse it, it could be a fun speech. Too bad I have been busy with other things. Nevertheless, it was a good exercise, and I had fun.

In addition to cooking, I suspect that he either have taken lots of training on acting and performing or he simply is gifted. Because he does all the talking (or side note?) on TV himself. And he is very good!

I would compare his style to Ryan, the host on American Idol. Very personable, great sense of humor, and above all, with upbeat fun spirit. Ladies love him by the way. You should see it on screen, hoho.

A couple of weeks a go I saw “The Lives of Others”. It’s a good movie too. But “Talk to Her” is my new favorite.

It actually has a style similar to Brokeback Mountain. The story develops slowly in the beginning. It spent a lot of time showing details and seeming small things, which made the story very credible, thus helps a lot to the eruption at the end.

In the beginning I was anxious to know what was going on(because there were two story lines). The film kept me on my toe though, paid full attention all through. After 30 minutes I was totally in the story.

Two thumbs up!

Personally I think it was not an honorable behavior and suggested low self-esteem. Because no matter how you cut it, I fail to see why a secured self-respected person would take personal attack as a mission.

My prayer goes to those who need it dearly.

Maybe it was a coincidence. Kina and Phoenix were barking like mad the other night. So I woke up the next morning and changed my MSN personal message promptly to the lyrics of Nelly Furtado’s “All Good Things”.

Later, after I got off work and drove home, I was told that Kina (what a sweet natured animal!) was dying because of some problem with her body. It’s so sad. She has been taking medicines and stuff. But, they say she is a goner. Why do all good things must come to an end?

Now when I listen to this song again, I can’t help having a creepy feeling.

It’s a good exercise, really. Only 1.5 miles one way but with lots of elevation gain (1100 ft). I had read the trail info online before the trip, so I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into. Too bad for my friend who had no clue yet had to hike along with me. Sorry.

Found Arch Rock again near a camping site, which was great! I’m still green with my camera. A lot of the scene were shot with way too big apertures. The pictures didn’t come out as sharp as they could be. Maybe next time?

As always, my sentimental side took over and I was totally in the story. I’m feeling moody and a bit depressed just now…Sad to see people leave whether it’s a physical location move or a life&death change.
